Day of Generosity

God is raising up a fresh army of Great Commission workers from the 2700 churches of our movement located outside of North America. Working in close partnership with us, they’re taking the Good News of Jesus Christ to some of the most challenging places on earth –

• to least-reached tribes in the heart of Africa
• to the spiritually hardened soils of Europe
• to the teaming cities of Latin America
• to the religiously diverse towns and villages of Asia

Their focus is clear; their passion is great; their commitment is strong. What they lack are the finances to live out their Great Commission dreams.

These dedicated men and women are selected, trained and sent by their local churches. While deeply committed to providing the prayer and support needed, most of these churches are unable to fully meet the financial challenge of sending workers cross-culturally.

Take a moment to imagine with me a very special day – a day when churches like yours across North America unite in collecting a generous gift to support the Great Commission efforts of our sister churches around the world.

In early September we’ll provide you with promotional materials that will include 1) an introductory video, 2) three short video clips telling the stories of national missionaries, 3) a set of posters, 4) PowerPoint announcement slides, and 5) ideas for bulletin inserts. We encourage you to show a video clip each Sunday in October. On the Day of Generosity we encourage you to join churches across America in collecting a one-time, sacrificial gift. Mark your gift Day of Generosity and send it immediately to GBIM, Box 80065, City of Industry, CA, 91716-8065. Shortly after the event we’ll announce the total amount raised.
