Missions Lifeline
Reaching the unreached world together through Christ’s lifesaving work.
What is a Missions Lifeline?
A Missions Lifeline is a gathering of believers with a passion for missions who pool their resources for GBIM global projects to make a bigger collective Kingdom impact.
Why Should I Start This at My Church?
Participation:
Missions Lifeline Groups start and grow through friends inviting friends. Each group is led by a point person who provides direction concerning project updates, finances, and meeting details. Groups are made up of 8-10 couples or singles. Teammates commit to one year in which they gather bimonthly. At year end, circles divide and birth a new group.
The Gathering:
Mission Lifeline groups are fun, simple to manage, and provide spiritual growth. It can fit into any ABF or small group.
Each gathering has four components:
Groups collectively choose a global project to adopt for a given time frame, typically six months to one year. Click here for the PDF file or click here to search for a project. Projects may range from AIDS ministry in Africa to buying a bicycle for a church planter. Others may be strategic long-term ministry projects like sponsoring an African seminary student, leadership training, or helping missionary support levels. All projects will be focused on GBIM’s goal to mobilize men and women to take the Church where it’s needed most!
Giving:
Although Missions Lifeline groups collectively choose a global project to support, members give individually each month. The goal is for the group to raise a God-sized goal. This could be anywhere from $3,000-$10,000 annually or 10 couples/singles in each group to contribute approximately $20-$100 monthly. Gifts can be sent to GBIM, PO Box 80065, City of Industry, CA 91716-8065 with a note indicating what project the gift is for.
