Short
Term
Go Teams ~ 1-3 week teams carrying out strategic
ministry to strengthen ministries of GBIM church-planting
teams around the world.
X Teams ~ X Teams are a
more "extreme" or
rugged version of GO Team. They typically minister
in areas where comforts cannot be guaranteed,
and a team member may be required, for example,
to hike great distances.
Internships
~ Missionary internships, lasting anywhere
from 1 to 12 months, provide cross-cultural
ministry and the opportunity to be mentored
by an experienced worker.
Long Term
Term missionary ~ Term missionaries do basically
the same thing career missionaries do but with
a commitment of 1-4 years.
Career missionary ~ Career missionaries are
ministry professionals who are committed to
missionary service as a career. Education and
specific ministry skills can be a requirement
depending on the ministry to be engaged. This
is a highest level of mutual commitment between
a missionary and GBIM.

SOWers ~ (Serving Overseas Workers) As a SOWer,
you serve from two weeks to one year, providing
strategic assistance to your missionaries on
the field as you gain real-life experience
in overseas ministry. SOWers use skills such
as teaching, auto mechanics, typing, and contribute
to the ministry through contact making and
evangelism.
LINC ~ As you learn Spanish in an immersion-type
setting (no previous Spanish required), LINC
(Latin Internships in New Church-planting)
gives you up to a year of cross-cultural ministry
experience working with experienced church-planters.
Special
Assignment ~ Use your skills in part-time
ministry via short term trips lasting from
weeks to months. In between trips the ministry
continues "long distance". Special
Assignment missionaries are strategically integrated
into the missionary plan on the field, often
funding their ministries through support raising.
