They come from two churches located in the Province of Cordoba - General DeHeza and Rio Cuarto. The Rio Cuarto church (where the Gambas are from) is actually the oldest GBC outside of the United States - founded in 1909 by Dr. Charles Yoder.
The Argentine team expects to engage in outreach and discipleship events with the five churches GBC in Mexico City that are part of COCRIMEX. An additional focus and goal of the team would be to encourage the missionary team there, especially the two families that have been sent from Argentina - the Testas' and the Peyreras'.
They had planned for a much larger team but economic difficulties, passport issues and other scheduling conflicts led to the smaller team going. Even though it's a small team, it's something that the Argentine Mission has wanted to do for a long time. Let us praise the Lord with them that it is finally happening in spite of all the obstacles along the way.
Pray that the Lord would make this trip a great blessing in the lives of the Argentine team.
Pray that God would more than supply for their financial needs because of their willingness to sacrifice.
Pray that God would use this trip to call many into His service both in and from Latin America.
Pray for all the families from Mexico who are working to make disciples and plant churches in their country. The Mexican Mission Agency is a young mission and still needs team mates for many of its missionaries.
Please also pray for several married couples and young people who are training for the mission field. Pray that they would be faithful to their calling and continue to trust God for their physical needs.
