Mike Taylor, Director of Operations for GBIM, and the youth of the Aiken, SC, Grace Brethren Church participated in the 30 Hour Famine February 26-27.

The 30 Hour Famine is an international youth movement designed to fight world hunger. For 30 hours, famine participants fast and experience what it is like to be hungry. They can also participate in fundraising activities and service projects in order to raise money to fight against world hunger.
Mike led the group in three speaking sessions. The group raised approximately $3,000 to donate and completed community service projects. Famine participants also made shelters from cardboard to experience what it is like to live in poverty. Some participants even slept in the shelters in the 29˚ Fahrenheit weather.
